For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Joyful, all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With angelic host proclaim, "Christ is born in Bethlehem!" Hark, the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!"
I took this photo in September. It was early morning and I was at an arboretum taking pictures of flowers and such. There were lots of butterflies (and moths) around. At first I was chasing them around the flowers trying to get a good shot. They just wouldn't stay still for me. Imagine that! Then I changed tactics and lenses. I put on my big zoom lens, stepped back and stood very still. The result was lots of amazing photos. I love all the butterfly pictures I got, but I decided to submit this moth because he was different and I like his furry body. If you want to see some of the butterflies, there are here and here, here and here.
Sunday morning before church and she thinks it's funny to stick her behind out! At least it got her laughing, and us a few minutes late for church. Oh well.
I love natural light. I took this picture at 8 am on my way home dropping the kids at the bus stop. I did almost no editing to it. It was just so pretty the way it was.
Here it my entry for i ♥ faces, category: Sweet Dreams
We just finished putting up the Christmas tree yesterday. Such excitement resulted in some tired kids.
It was really dark when I took this picture. I couldn't focus due to the lack of light. I turned on the kitchen light for just a second to focus and press the shutter, then quickly turned off the light before the shutter (set at 4 seconds) completely closed. That way there was a bit of light exposed, but it still looked dark.
Who am I? In a nutshell? I am active and strong. I am married. I race, tickle and read to my three kids. I am busy. I like cheesecake, a lot. I don't like clutter, although sometimes that is hard to tell considering the state of my desk and kitchen. I take a lot of photos, and am trying to take better quality ones. This blog is a collection of my photos that I take every day. They may not be spectacular (yet), but perhaps ... one day. Until then, I will keep shooting away.
