Do you know what this is? It is the helicopter landing pad that I posted yesterday. In these photos, while the shutter was open, I used the zoom on my lens. In the first photo, the camera is still sitting on the tripod, so the lines of light are straight. As you can tell from the second, I was hand holding, but trying to be still. Cool, huh?

This is the helicopter landing pad at the Children's Hospital. I am on the top level of the park aid looking out. My camera and tripod are balanced on a ledge (I'm safely on the ground, thank you very much). Although it was wide enough to fit the tripod, it was not large enough to take away that forbidding feeling of "what if" they fell! Ah, nerve racking.

This is my entry for i ♥ faces category: Blue
I took this picture Saturday at the soccer fields. My, it gets hot out there in the heat with no shade. My little one likes to sit under an umbrella and drink her water to stay cool while we watch the older kids play. Perhaps by December it will cool down a bit.

Kimber, these butterflies are for you. I thought of you the entire time as I initially attempted to chase down a butterfly. After a few unsuccessful tries, I sat still and waited. It didn't take long for this black friend to come flattering along. I'll post a couple more of him later. Again, the photos look better in large format.

This past August, my daughter and I had the opportunity to attend the funeral of my Grandmother. Although we will miss my Grandmother, we feel peace and joy in knowing that she is reunited with her husband, parents, a son and many other whom have gone on before.
My Grandma and Grandpa had 10 children. Their posterity numbers 347 family members, all who are blessed because of the examples set by my Grandparents.
In this picture, my daughter and I had been looking at headstones of our ancestors dating back hundreds of years. It was a great moment to teach her that she is part of a long line going back, part of a family now, and hopefully a link to future generations. Certainly something to contemplate.

How many Grandma's do you know who can hit a 38 mph ball pitched at them, while using a seven year old's sized bat? Well, this one can! Look out!
Below: Think, think, think. Focus. Concentrate.
Below: Swing and a hit!
Below: Wow, check out how far that ball can fly.
Thanks Grandma. You can still play ball with the best of them.
