This big gator is definitely not a pet, but I just love this shot. The day I took this there were so many gators on the banks of the water. I was careful to stay in the middle of the path and not venture to close to the marshy banks. I could not see my side of the bank because of the high reeds but I could clearly see the far side. If I kept seeing lots of gators on that far side, I only guessed how many were on my side that I didn't see. This particular day I got some great shots of Sandhill Cranes and their chicks, some mating Blue Herons and lots of gators and wading birds.
