When I was a little girl my family made many trips to visit my Grandparents. They lived a couple hours from us, but we went regularly. My Grandma usually had donuts or some sort of pastry waiting for us. My Grandpa had licorice which was always rock hard. Their house had a fireplace in the basement, and when we would visit at Christmas there would be a roaring fire to enjoy. I remember pulling out my little wooden rocking chair that was kept in the room behind the furnace and sitting in front of the fireplace while I admired the Christmas tree. I have wonderful memories of my Grandparents.
Today I have that little rocking chair, and my girls use it regularly.

Very sweet photo. That's neat that you have that chair now. I love black licorice, even the hard stuff. :) I got a fifty nifty just a week ago and so far I love it.
